The Ministry of Defence has signed contracts worth approximately ₹4,106 crore for crucial defence acquisitions. A deal worth ₹2,563 crore with New Space India Limited will provide the Indian Air Force with the GSAT-7C communication satellite, enhancing secure communication for its assets. Additionally, a contract for about ₹1,543 crore with Bharat Dynamics Limited will supply the Indian Navy with Varunastra heavyweight torpedoes. These acquisitions aim to bolster the operational effectiveness and anti-submarine warfare capabilities of both the Air Force and the Navy.
