Khap Leaders Demand Arrests in Singer Murder

Khap leaders have issued an ultimatum to the police, demanding the arrest of all remaining accused in the murder of Haryanvi singer Ankit Balyan by October 5. Balyan was shot dead on August 26 in Shamli. Following a meeting with district officials, the leaders also requested security and financial assistance for the singer's family. Two alleged sharpshooters involved in the murder were previously killed in a police encounter on August 31.

खाप नेताओं की गायक हत्या में गिरफ्तारी की मांग

खाप नेताओं ने पुलिस को अल्टीमेटम दिया है कि 5 अक्टूबर तक हरियाणवी गायक अंकित बालियान की हत्या के बाकी सभी आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया जाए। बालियान की 26 अगस्त को शामली में गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई थी। जिला अधिकारियों से मुलाकात के बाद नेताओं ने गायक के परिवार के लिए सुरक्षा और आर्थिक मदद की भी मांग की। हत्या में शामिल दो कथित शार्पशूटर 31 अगस्त को पुलिस मुठभेड़ में मारे गए थे।
