Suspended Muzaffarpur CO Arrested in Rs 15 Crore Land Fraud Case

A suspended circle officer (CO) in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, Mahendra Prasad Shukla, was arrested on Friday in connection with an alleged land fraud involving 70 decimals of land valued at approximately Rs 15 crore. Shukla, formerly the Musahari CO, had been suspended following an inquiry into alleged irregularities, including manipulation of land records and collusion with land mafias. Investigators are examining allegations of forged documents and irregularities in land mutation.

बिहार के मुजफ्फरपुर जिले के निलंबित सर्किल ऑफिसर (CO) महेंद्र प्रसाद शुक्ला को शुक्रवार को लगभग 15 करोड़ रुपये की 70 डिसमिल ज़मीन से जुड़े कथित ज़मीन धोखाधड़ी मामले में गिरफ्तार किया गया। शुक्ला, जो पहले मुशहरी के CO थे, कथित अनियमितताओं, जिसमें ज़मीन के रिकॉर्ड में हेरफेर और ज़मीन माफियाओं के साथ मिलीभगत शामिल है, की जांच के बाद निलंबित कर दिए गए थे। जांचकर्ता जाली दस्तावेज़ों और ज़मीन म्यूटेशन में अनियमितताओं के आरोपों की जांच कर रहे हैं।
