अमेरिका के शेयर बाज़ार के फ्यूचर गिरे क्योंकि सितंबर के महंगाई आंकड़ों में उम्मीद से ज़्यादा 3.7% की सालाना बढ़ोतरी देखी गई, जो 3.6% के अनुमान से ज़्यादा थी। महंगाई में इस अप्रत्याशित बढ़ोतरी ने निवेशकों की चिंता बढ़ा दी है कि लगातार बढ़ती महंगाई अमेरिकी अर्थव्यवस्था को प्रभावित कर सकती है। कोर महंगाई दर भी अनुमान से ज़्यादा रही, जिसमें 2.6% की सालाना बढ़ोतरी हुई। इसके चलते ट्रेजरी यील्ड बढ़ गई, 10-साल की यील्ड 5.27% से ऊपर चली गई, जिससे शेयरों के मूल्यांकन पर दबाव पड़ सकता है और कंपनियों के लिए उधार लेने की लागत बढ़ सकती है।
