EC to rule on TMC factions' symbol claim

The Election Commission is expected to deliver an interim ruling regarding the "real" Trinamool Congress party symbol dispute. Both Mamata Banerjee's faction and Ritabrata Banerjee's faction have named their own candidates for upcoming bypolls in Nandigram and Rejinagar, each claiming the party's reserved symbol. The EC has asked both factions to submit written replies, the last date for nomination filing, before making its decision.
