Veerashaiva-Lingayat Mahasabha Seeks Karnataka Ratna For Late Bheemanna Khandre

The Shivamogga unit of the Veerashaiva-Lingayat Mahasabha has passed a resolution urging the Karnataka government to posthumously award the Karnataka Ratna to Bheemanna Khandre. Khandre was a significant public figure from the Kalyana Karnataka region, known for his participation in the freedom struggle and the unification movement. He also served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly and Council, and as a Minister. Additionally, he was involved in institution-building and led the Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha. Bheemanna Khandre passed away on January 16 this year.

वीरशैव-लिंगायत महासभा की शिवमोगा इकाई ने कर्नाटक सरकार से भीमन्ना खंड्रे को मरणोपरांत कर्नाटक रत्न से सम्मानित करने का आग्रह करते हुए एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया है। खंड्रे कल्याण कर्नाटक क्षेत्र के एक महत्वपूर्ण सार्वजनिक व्यक्ति थे, जो स्वतंत्रता संग्राम और एकीकरण आंदोलन में अपनी भागीदारी के लिए जाने जाते थे। उन्होंने विधायक और विधान पार्षद के साथ-साथ मंत्री के रूप में भी कार्य किया। इसके अतिरिक्त, वह संस्था निर्माण में शामिल थे और अखिल भारतीय वीरशैव महासभा का नेतृत्व किया। भीमन्ना खंड्रे का इसी साल 16 जनवरी को निधन हो गया था।
