Earthquake Jolts Jammu & Kashmir; Tremors Felt in Tibet, China

An earthquake measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale struck Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar region early morning at 4:54 AM. The National Center for Seismology reported the tremor, which originated at a depth of 5 kilometers. Fortunately, no loss of life or property has been reported from the region. Shortly after the Jammu and Kashmir earthquake, tremors of magnitude 4.5 were recorded in Tibet and 4.6 in China, also at a depth of 10 kilometers. These seismic activities caused mild shaking, waking up residents in the affected areas.
