Malaria Outbreak in Dumaria: 5 Cases, 1 Fatality Reported in 48 Hours

A 13-year-old boy died of cerebral malaria in Bakdakocha village, Dumaria block, East Singhbhum district, on Wednesday. Health officials confirmed four additional malaria cases in the village on Thursday, including three women and one man. A 10-member health team is now camping in the village to conduct screenings and investigate the source of the infection. This outbreak comes after a period of declining malaria cases in the district, with only two to three cases reported monthly recently.

पूर्वी सिंहभूम जिले के डुमरिया ब्लॉक के बकदाकोचा गांव में बुधवार को सेरेब्रल मलेरिया से एक 13 साल के लड़के की मौत हो गई। स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों ने गुरुवार को गांव में चार और मलेरिया के मामलों की पुष्टि की, जिनमें तीन महिलाएं और एक पुरुष शामिल हैं। संक्रमण के स्रोत की जांच करने और स्क्रीनिंग करने के लिए अब 10 सदस्यीय स्वास्थ्य टीम गांव में डेरा डाले हुए है। यह प्रकोप जिले में मलेरिया के मामलों में गिरावट की अवधि के बाद आया है, हाल ही में हर महीने केवल दो से तीन मामले सामने आ रहे थे।
