A massive fire erupted in a central Kolkata hotel early Wednesday, claiming the lives of at least nine people, including a child. Over 60 individuals were successfully rescued from the blaze. This tragic incident marks the second hotel fire in West Bengal this week, raising concerns about fire safety measures in the state. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

कोलकाता के एक होटल में बुधवार तड़के भीषण आग लग गई। इस हादसे में एक बच्चे समेत कम से कम नौ लोगों की जान चली गई। गनीमत रही कि 60 से ज़्यादा लोगों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया। यह इस हफ़्ते पश्चिम बंगाल में दूसरी होटल आग की घटना है, जिससे राज्य में आग से सुरक्षा के इंतजामों पर सवाल उठ रहे हैं। आग लगने की वजह का पता लगाने के लिए जांच चल रही है।
