Yuan Hits 4-Year High On Trader Optimism

China's offshore yuan reached a four-year peak against the dollar, driven by trader confidence that a US interest rate hike won't halt its appreciation. The currency also gained support from expectations of eased trade tensions following a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Bank of America predicts further yuan strengthening by year-end, citing exporter dollar earnings conversion and trade imbalance pressures.

चीन का ऑफशोर युआन डॉलर के मुकाबले चार साल के उच्चतम स्तर पर पहुँच गया है। ट्रेडर्स को भरोसा है कि अमेरिका की ब्याज दरें बढ़ने से इसकी मजबूती नहीं रुकेगी। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प और चीनी राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग की मुलाकात के बाद व्यापारिक तनाव कम होने की उम्मीदों से भी युआन को सहारा मिला है। बैंक ऑफ अमेरिका का अनुमान है कि साल के अंत तक युआन और मजबूत होगा।
