The Rajkot Municipal Corporation's health branch inspected 78 food establishments, destroying 33 kg of stale and expired items. Three outlets received regulatory notices and administrative charges. Laboratory analysis found five food samples from local dairies and eateries to be substandard, leading to legal proceedings against them. These included paneer and ice cream samples failing quality tests and ghee samples found to contain vegetable fat. The enforcement drive, intensified ahead of the festive season, also collected 49 surveillance samples for testing.

राजकोट नगर निगम की स्वास्थ्य शाखा ने 78 खाद्य प्रतिष्ठानों का निरीक्षण किया, जिसमें 33 किलो बासी और एक्सपायर्ड सामान नष्ट कर दिया गया। तीन आउटलेट्स को नियामक नोटिस और प्रशासनिक शुल्क जारी किए गए। स्थानीय डेयरी और भोजनालयों से लिए गए पांच खाद्य नमूनों के प्रयोगशाला विश्लेषण में वे घटिया पाए गए, जिसके चलते उनके खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू की गई है। इनमें पनीर और आइसक्रीम के नमूने गुणवत्ता परीक्षण में विफल रहे और घी के नमूनों में वनस्पति वसा पाई गई। त्योहारी सीजन से पहले तेज किए गए इस प्रवर्तन अभियान में परीक्षण के लिए 49 निगरानी नमूने भी एकत्र किए गए।
