Anupam Kher Backs Dissent But Slams Abuse Against PM Modi

Actor Anupam Kher has defended the right to protest and question the government, but condemned the use of abusive language and violence during demonstrations. He stated that while criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and challenging government decisions are democratic rights, such dissent should not involve insults. Kher also emphasized that supporters of the government deserve the freedom to express their views. He expressed personal hurt over alleged abuses directed at the Prime Minister and his mother, questioning the necessity of such language in expressing opposition.

अभिनेता अनुपम खेर ने सरकार पर सवाल उठाने और विरोध करने के अधिकार का बचाव किया है, लेकिन प्रदर्शनों के दौरान अपमानजनक भाषा और हिंसा के इस्तेमाल की निंदा की है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की आलोचना करना और सरकारी फैसलों को चुनौती देना लोकतांत्रिक अधिकार हैं, लेकिन ऐसे विरोध में अपमान शामिल नहीं होना चाहिए। खेर ने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया कि सरकार के समर्थकों को भी अपने विचार व्यक्त करने की स्वतंत्रता मिलनी चाहिए। उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री और उनकी माँ के खिलाफ कथित अपमानों पर व्यक्तिगत चोट व्यक्त की और विरोध व्यक्त करने में ऐसी भाषा की आवश्यकता पर सवाल उठाया।
