A Madurai-based social media influencer, Veeramani, has pleaded with his followers to stop placing orders after a prank went out of control. Initially seeking contributions for a trip, he later asked for Diwali sweets and shared his address. However, some followers used this as an opportunity to prank him by placing numerous cash-on-delivery orders for expensive items like smartphones, televisions, and refrigerators. The influencer expressed distress, stating he could not pay for the unsolicited deliveries and had to vacate his home due to the constant stream of delivery personnel.
