State to seek ₹200 crore for Kakinada drainage

Andhra Pradesh's Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana announced that the state government will seek ₹200 crore from the Centre for underground drainage development in Kakinada city. This funding will be sought under the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF). The minister reviewed ongoing projects, including Jal Jeevan Mission works and park modernisation costing ₹25 crore. The state will soon decide on the drinking water source and allocation for Kakinada city.

आंध्र प्रदेश के नगर प्रशासन मंत्री पी. नारायण ने बताया कि राज्य सरकार काकिनडा शहर में भूमिगत सीवेज सिस्टम के विकास के लिए केंद्र से ₹200 करोड़ मांगेगी। यह पैसा अर्बन इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर डेवलपमेंट फंड (UIDF) के तहत मांगा जाएगा। मंत्री ने जल जीवन मिशन और ₹25 करोड़ के पार्क आधुनिकीकरण जैसे चल रहे कामों की भी समीक्षा की। काकिनडा शहर के लिए पीने के पानी के स्रोत और आवंटन पर जल्द ही फैसला लिया जाएगा।
