Officials attributed the issue to pipelines emptying during the closure and plan to improve restoration arrangements for next week. This weekly shutdown, implemented on October 15, aims to conserve water due to below-normal rainfall and falling reservoir levels. गुरुवार को पहले साप्ताहिक शहरव्यापी शटडाउन के बाद पुणे नगर निगम (PMC) को शुक्रवार सुबह पानी के कम दबाव की 25 शिकायतें मिलीं। अधिकारियों ने इस समस्या का कारण बंद के दौरान पाइपलाइनों का खाली होना बताया और अगले हफ्ते बहाली की व्यवस्थाओं को बेहतर बनाने की योजना बनाई है। सामान्य से कम बारिश और जलाशयों के गिरते स्तर के कारण पानी बचाने के उद्देश्य से 15 अक्टूबर को यह साप्ताहिक शटडाउन लागू किया गया था। हडपसर और मोहम्मदवाड़ी जैसे इलाकों के निवासियों ने समस्याएं बताईं, कुछ ने पानी की आपूर्ति में रुकावट के लिए स्थायी समाधान की मांग की।
