Displaced families in Gaza are facing the harsh winter months living in dilapidated tents on the beach near Khan Younis. Anas al-Shami, a father of six, was forced to seek refuge on the coast after being displaced from his home and finding displacement areas overcrowded and too expensive. He fears a repeat of last winter's flooding, which left his children ill. Another displaced father, Ibrahim Abu Tair, expressed his helplessness at not being able to provide basic necessities like dry mattresses for his seven children.
