Shreyas Iyer's tenure as India's T20I captain has seen mixed results since taking over in June. Despite leading India to nine successive T20I wins against various opponents, including Zimbabwe and Afghanistan, the team recently drew a five-match series 2-2 against the West Indies. Iyer scored his first T20I century in the series opener but the West Indies fought back strongly. In 21 T20Is, Iyer has a win percentage of 52.38, with 11 wins and 8 losses. Upcoming matches against New Zealand will be crucial for his captaincy credentials.
