Tamil Nadu Forms District Committees To Resolve Sales Taxpayer Grievances

The Tamil Nadu government will establish district-level advisory committees, led by District Collectors, to address sales taxpayers' grievances and resolve sales tax administration issues. These committees will convene quarterly to discuss and act on taxpayer concerns. The decision follows a meeting with the Minister for Commercial Taxes. Membership includes tax officials, MLAs, and representatives from farmers, industries, traders, and consumer forums. The committees are to be formed by November 30 and will operate until November 30, 2029, with the first meeting scheduled for December 15.

तमिलनाडु सरकार बिक्री करदाताओं की शिकायतों को दूर करने और बिक्री कर प्रशासन से जुड़ी समस्याओं को सुलझाने के लिए जिला कलेक्टरों के नेतृत्व में जिला-स्तरीय सलाहकार समितियां बनाएगी। ये समितियां करदाताओं की चिंताओं पर चर्चा करने और कार्रवाई करने के लिए हर तीन महीने में मिलेंगी। यह फैसला वाणिज्यिक कर मंत्री के साथ बैठक के बाद लिया गया है। समितियों में कर अधिकारी, विधायक और किसानों, उद्योगों, व्यापारियों और उपभोक्ता मंचों के प्रतिनिधि शामिल होंगे। समितियों का गठन 30 नवंबर तक किया जाना है और ये 30 नवंबर 2029 तक काम करेंगी, पहली बैठक 15 दिसंबर को निर्धारित है।
