असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने वाराणसी में एक जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि जब तक युवा शक्ति है, तब तक कोई भी सनातनियों को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचा सकता। उन्होंने दावा किया कि भारत में काफी बदलाव आया है, जिसका उदाहरण विकास और बाहरी खतरों के खिलाफ मजबूत रुख है। सरमा ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व पर प्रकाश डाला और अयोध्या में राम मंदिर के निर्माण और भाजपा की वृद्धि का श्रेय उन्हें दिया। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि मोदी के साथ सनातन भारत का आशीर्वाद है, और उन्होंने विकास तथा राष्ट्रीय शक्ति के निरंतर युग की कल्पना की।
