ED Raids Mumbai Region Over Illegal Human Egg Extraction Racket

ED has initiated a money-laundering investigation and conducted raids across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region concerning an illegal racket involving the stimulation, extraction, and sale of human eggs. The operation targets unauthorized IVF and assisted reproductive technology (ART) centers that allegedly exploited financially vulnerable women, offering them between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per egg. This case stems from an FIR filed by Badlapur East police following a complaint about an illegal IVF center operating from a residential flat.
