Father Seeks Justice For Daughter's Death

A father in Guwahati is seeking justice after his daughter, Nimisha Thakuria, died under suspicious circumstances. Deep Thakuria stated that Nimisha had informed her mother she would be staying at the Gauhati University hostel with friends. However, she later called her mother around 2 am, reporting that she had been beaten and assaulted. The family rushed to the police station, and authorities later informed them that a girl matching Nimisha's description had been found dead. Her father claims she had not mentioned staying at a homestay with Ashiq Ali.
