Cyclone Arnab: Amit Shah Assures Full Assistance to Four Affected States

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh on Thursday regarding Cyclone Arnab. He assured them of full central assistance and stated that relief operations are underway on a war footing. The cyclone has caused at least nine deaths in Andhra Pradesh, with over 20,000 people evacuated and approximately 2 lakh hectares of crops damaged. Odisha reported no fatalities but was affected in 17 districts, while heavy rains continue in Jharkhand.

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने गुरुवार को आंध्र प्रदेश, पुडुचेरी, ओडिशा और छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्रियों से चक्रवात अर्नाब को लेकर बात की। उन्होंने उन्हें केंद्र की ओर से हर संभव मदद का आश्वासन दिया और कहा कि राहत कार्य युद्ध स्तर पर चल रहे हैं। चक्रवात के कारण आंध्र प्रदेश में कम से कम नौ लोगों की मौत हो गई है, 20,000 से अधिक लोगों को निकाला गया है और लगभग 2 लाख हेक्टेयर फसलों को नुकसान पहुंचा है। ओडिशा में किसी की मौत की खबर नहीं है, लेकिन 17 जिले प्रभावित हुए हैं, जबकि झारखंड में भारी बारिश जारी है।
