Court Allows Transfer Of 5 Elephants To Tamil

The Gauhati High Court has refused to halt the transfer of five captive elephants from Assam to temples in Tamil Nadu. A Division Bench stated there was no justification for a restraint order unless mandatory regulatory clearances were not obtained. The court noted that the State of Assam has granted all necessary clearances and will ensure the elephants' safe transportation for religious purposes.

गुवाहाटी हाई कोर्ट ने असम से तमिलनाडु के मंदिरों में पांच हाथियों के स्थानांतरण पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि जब तक ज़रूरी मंज़ूरी न मिले, तब तक रोक का कोई कारण नहीं है। कोर्ट ने यह भी कहा कि असम सरकार ने सभी ज़रूरी मंज़ूरियाँ दे दी हैं और धार्मिक कामों के लिए हाथियों को सुरक्षित ले जाया जाएगा।
