BPCL Q2 Net Profit Drops 21.5% To ₹4,863 Crore Due to Weak Marketing Margins
Business Standard · stocks
State-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) reported a 21.5% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the second quarter of FY27, falling to ₹4,863.05 crore from ₹6,191.49 crore in the previous year. The company cited suppressed marketing margins on certain petroleum products as the primary reason for the profit drop, although this was partially offset by higher refining margins. Despite the profit decrease, BPCL's revenue from operations saw a significant 30% year-on-year increase, reaching ₹1.58 lakh crore in the September quarter.
