Pune Citizens' Forum to Protest Noise Norm Violations During Ganeshotsav

A Pune-based citizens' forum, Loudspeaker Virodhi Punekar Manch, will protest alleged noise norm violations during Ganeshotsav. The forum is demanding the release of noise-level measurement records and details of actions taken against violators. They claim this information has not been made public even two weeks after the festival concluded. Citizen activist Mukund Kirdat stated that memorandums were submitted to the police, PMC, and MPCB. The forum seeks stricter implementation of noise pollution regulations for upcoming festivals.

पुणे स्थित एक नागरिक मंच, लाउडस्पीकर विरोधी पुणेकर मंच, गणेशोत्सव के दौरान कथित ध्वनि नियम उल्लंघन के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन करेगा। मंच ध्वनि स्तर मापन रिकॉर्ड और उल्लंघनकर्ताओं के खिलाफ की गई कार्रवाई के विवरण जारी करने की मांग कर रहा है। उनका दावा है कि त्योहार समाप्त होने के दो सप्ताह बाद भी यह जानकारी सार्वजनिक नहीं की गई है। नागरिक कार्यकर्ता मुकुंद किर्दत ने कहा कि पुलिस, पी एम सी और एम पी सी बी को ज्ञापन सौंपे गए थे। मंच आगामी त्योहारों के लिए ध्वनि प्रदूषण नियमों के सख्त कार्यान्वयन की मांग करता है।
