डीएमके पार्टी ने अपने संगठन में बड़े बदलाव के लिए नौ प्रस्ताव पास किए हैं। अब पदाधिकारियों के लिए उम्र सीमा तय होगी और नेता एक ही पद पर दो बार से ज़्यादा नहीं रह पाएंगे। इन कदमों से पार्टी में नई लीडरशिप आएगी और नए विचार सामने आएंगे। यह द्रविड़ मुनेत्र कड़गम की तरफ से एक बड़ा आंतरिक सुधार है।
