Vice-President Calls for Expansion of Medical Research in Universities

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan has urged universities to focus on expanding medical research, stating that the country has sufficient undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Speaking at the Ruby Jubilee celebrations of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada, he expressed a desire to see a student from the university win a Nobel Prize for research. The university's Vice-Chancellor announced an allocation of approximately ₹13 crore for medical research and the upcoming introduction of a quantum biology course to foster interdisciplinary learning and advanced scientific inquiry.

उपराष्ट्रपति सी. पी. राधाकृष्णन ने विश्वविद्यालयों से चिकित्सा अनुसंधान के विस्तार पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने का आग्रह किया है, यह कहते हुए कि देश में पर्याप्त स्नातक और स्नातकोत्तर चिकित्सा छात्र हैं। विजयवाड़ा में डॉ. एनटीआर यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ हेल्थ साइंसेज के रूबी जुबली समारोह में बोलते हुए, उन्होंने विश्वविद्यालय के किसी छात्र को अनुसंधान के लिए नोबेल पुरस्कार जीतते देखने की इच्छा व्यक्त की। विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति ने चिकित्सा अनुसंधान के लिए लगभग ₹13 करोड़ के आवंटन और अंतःविषय सीखने और उन्नत वैज्ञानिक जांच को बढ़ावा देने के लिए क्वांटम बायोलॉजी पाठ्यक्रम की आगामी शुरुआत की घोषणा की।
