Congress party workers in Bengaluru protested at the City Police Commissioner’s office on Monday, demanding the arrest of playwright Addanda C. Cariappa. They allege derogatory remarks about Mahatma Gandhi were made in his play, which reportedly portrayed Savarkar and Godse positively. Activists had previously filed a complaint, and ink was smeared on the playwright's face. Congress spokesperson M. Lakshman stated the party will also petition the Chief Minister and Home Minister. Security has been deployed at the venue where the drama is being staged.
