Delhi's average Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 331 on November 3, deteriorating from 307 the previous day and remaining in the ‘very poor’ category. PM2.5 was the dominant pollutant, with 57 out of 58 monitoring stations recording AQI above 200. Eight locations, including Jahangirpuri with an AQI of 449, crossed the ‘severe’ threshold of 400. Neighbouring NCR cities like Noida and Manesar also experienced ‘very poor’ air quality. Extended exposure to such pollution levels can cause respiratory illnesses and pose serious health risks.
