European Union interior ministers met in Luxembourg to explore enhanced border controls and measures against undocumented migration. They approved a new regulation to boost deportations, including the potential establishment of 'return hubs' outside the EU for migrants awaiting repatriation. Several member states, including Denmark, Austria, Greece, Germany, and the Netherlands, are considering these centers. Greece also proposed temporarily suspending asylum applications during emergencies.
