Apple Pay has finally been launched in India after a long wait, with the tap-to-pay service officially rolling out. This marks the entry of Apple Pay into the Indian market approximately 12 years after its initial introduction in the US. Currently, users can link Axis Bank Visa and Mastercard credit cards to Apple Pay for payments via iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. The service offers secure transactions without storing or sharing actual card numbers, utilizing a unique Device Account Number instead.
