Defence Estate Takes Over Union Gymkhana Land

Defence estate officers have taken possession of the Union Gymkhana property in Belagavi, Karnataka, following a court order. The land, measuring 6.50 acres within the military cantonment area, was illegally occupied by a local group. The lease for this prime land had expired way back in 2002. This action by the Defence Estates Department aims to reclaim government land and ensure its proper utilization.

रक्षा संपदा अधिकारियों ने कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद कर्नाटक के बेलगावी में यूनियन जिमखाना की संपत्ति पर कब्ज़ा कर लिया है। सैन्य छावनी क्षेत्र में 6.50 एकड़ की यह ज़मीन एक स्थानीय समूह द्वारा अवैध रूप से कब्ज़ाई गई थी। इस कीमती ज़मीन का पट्टा 2002 में ही खत्म हो गया था। रक्षा संपदा विभाग की इस कार्रवाई का मकसद सरकारी ज़मीन को वापस लेना और उसका सही इस्तेमाल सुनिश्चित करना है।
