The Indian women's national football team will play two international friendlies against Russia on October 8 and 11 in Kolkata. These matches mark India's return to international play since winning the SAFF Women's Championship in June. Ranked 69th globally, India aims to test itself against the 27th-ranked European team. Russia, excluded from FIFA and UEFA competitions since 2022, is making a partial return to international football. This will be the third and fourth encounters between the two nations.
