Karnataka Govt May Challenge High Court Order

The Karnataka government is likely to challenge the high court's order directing a special investigation team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities in recruitments by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). The government is particularly displeased with the court naming the IPS officer Alok Kumar to head the SIT. Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that appointing investigation leads falls under executive discretion.

कर्नाटक सरकार, कर्नाटक लोक सेवा आयोग (KPSC) की भर्तियों में कथित अनियमितताओं की जांच के लिए विशेष जांच दल (SIT) गठित करने के हाई कोर्ट के आदेश को चुनौती देने की तैयारी में है। सरकार विशेष रूप से IPS अधिकारी आलोक कुमार को SIT का प्रमुख नियुक्त किए जाने से नाखुश है। मुख्यमंत्री डीके शिवकुमार ने कहा कि जांच प्रमुख की नियुक्ति कार्यकारी विवेक का मामला है।
