TOI - Delhi · india
Chennai's wildlife division has initiated conservation efforts, including boat and beach patrols, to safeguard Olive Ridley sea turtles and their nesting grounds. These patrols, lasting two to three hours, will occur three to four times weekly along the coast from Marina Beach to Neelankarai and Uthandi, as well as the Pulicat coast. The marine elite force is also monitoring fishing vessels to enforce a ban on fishing near nesting sites from January 1 to April 30.
