21 Agreements Signed To Boost Regional Air Connectivity

The Civil Aviation Ministry has signed 21 agreements with states and union territories under the UDAN scheme to enhance regional air connectivity. These MoUs aim to develop aviation infrastructure and expand air services to underserved areas. The agreements establish a framework for coordinated action between the Centre, states, and the Airports Authority of India. Minister K Rammohan Naidu stated that UDAN has operationalised 687 routes and 95 aerodromes, serving over 1.71 crore passengers.

नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय ने क्षेत्रीय हवाई संपर्क बढ़ाने के लिए UDAN योजना के तहत राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के साथ 21 समझौते किए हैं। इन समझौतों का मकसद हवाई अड्डों का विकास करना और कम सेवा वाले क्षेत्रों में हवाई सेवाएं बढ़ाना है। इससे केंद्र, राज्यों और एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया के बीच तालमेल बढ़ेगा। मंत्री के राममोहन नायडू ने बताया कि UDAN से 687 रूट और 95 हवाई अड्डे चालू हुए हैं, जिनसे 1.71 करोड़ से ज़्यादा यात्री सफर कर चुके हैं।
