The Supreme Court has issued an interim order prohibiting the "illegal" detention of individuals peacefully assembling for protests. This directive came as Left leaders and members of the Cockroach Janta Party were detained in Delhi. The court also mandated the restoration of normal metro and rail services, which had been disrupted. The protests, demanding the resignation of the chief election commissioner, saw widespread participation from opposition leaders, activists, lawyers, and journalists.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शांतिपूर्ण विरोध प्रदर्शनों के लिए इकट्ठा होने वाले लोगों की 'अवैध' हिरासत पर रोक लगाने का अंतरिम आदेश जारी किया है। यह निर्देश तब आया जब दिल्ली में लेफ्ट नेताओं और कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी के सदस्यों को हिरासत में लिया गया था। अदालत ने मेट्रो और रेल सेवाओं को सामान्य करने का भी आदेश दिया, जो बाधित हो गई थीं। मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर हुए विरोध प्रदर्शनों में विपक्षी नेताओं, कार्यकर्ताओं, वकीलों और पत्रकारों ने बड़े पैमाने पर भाग लिया था।
