Rooftop Solar Market May Reach 132 GW

India's rooftop solar market has the potential to grow to 132 GW by 2030, up from the current 17 GW installed capacity, according to the Indian Solar Manufacturers Association (ISMA). This expansion is expected to create demand for domestically manufactured solar components. The government's PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana scheme, launched in February 2024, is significantly boosting adoption by making rooftop solar more accessible to households across India.
