Neem oil, often bought from markets, is actually extracted from the seeds and pulp of ripe neem fruits, not the leaves. The process involves selecting ripe fruits, cleaning them thoroughly, and drying them for about 8-10 days. After drying, the pulp and husk are separated to obtain the seeds, which are then processed using a machine to extract the oil. This method, taking around 15 days of effort, yields pure neem oil. The leftover neem cake can be used as fertilizer for plants.

बाजार में मिलने वाला नीम का तेल असल में नीम के पके फलों के बीज और गूदे से निकाला जाता है, पत्तियों से नहीं। इस प्रक्रिया में सबसे पहले पके हुए फलों को चुना जाता है, फिर उन्हें अच्छी तरह साफ करके करीब 8-10 दिनों तक सुखाया जाता है। सूखने के बाद, गूदा और छिलका अलग करके बीज निकाले जाते हैं, जिन्हें मशीन से पीसकर तेल निकाला जाता है। इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में लगभग 15 दिनों की मेहनत लगती है और शुद्ध नीम का तेल तैयार हो जाता है। बचा हुआ नीम का खली पौधों के लिए खाद के तौर पर इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है।
