बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी ने जमुई में कथित तौर पर छेड़छाड़ की शिकार हुई एक नाबालिग लड़की के परिवार से मुलाकात की और उन्हें उसकी सुरक्षा और पढ़ाई में मदद का भरोसा दिलाया। लड़की की माँ ने पुलिस की त्वरित कार्रवाई पर संतोष जताया और कहा कि घटना सामने आने के 48 घंटे के भीतर गिरफ्तारी हो गई थी। मुख्यमंत्री ने लड़की के भविष्य के लिए हर संभव मदद का वादा करते हुए कहा, "आपकी बेटी मेरी बेटी है"। परिवार की मुख्य चिंता अब यह है कि लड़की बिना डरे अपनी पढ़ाई फिर से शुरू कर सके और उसे जल्द न्याय मिले।
