Axis Bank launches Apple Pay for Visa, Mastercard credit card customers in India

Axis Bank has launched Apple Pay for its credit card customers in India, making it the first Indian bank to offer the service. Customers can now use their iPhones, Apple Watches, and iPads to make payments at merchants, within apps, and online. Cards can be added to Apple Wallet via the bank's mobile app or directly through Apple Wallet. This move aims to enhance the bank's payments ecosystem by catering to the growing preference for mobile-first, contactless, and tokenised transactions.
