BMC वायु प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए निर्माण और विध्वंस कचरे के डंपिंग के खिलाफ सख्त उपाय लागू कर रही है। सक्रिय ट्रैकिंग सिस्टम के बिना मलबा ले जाने वाले वाहनों पर प्रति ट्रिप 25,000 रुपये का भारी जुर्माना लगाया जाएगा। 'मुंबई डीब्रिस कंट्रोल एंड ट्रैकिंग सिस्टम' पोर्टल पर पंजीकरण कराने में विफल रहने वाले निर्माण स्थलों पर भी यही जुर्माना लगाया जाएगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य अवैध डंपिंग को रोकना और धूल को नियंत्रित करना है, जिससे मुंबई की हवा सांस लेने योग्य बन सके।
