The Supreme Court has refused to issue an interim order restraining Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar from functioning, citing the need to verify allegations of unilateral decision-making. A bench, led by the Chief Justice of India, issued notices to the Election Commission, the Union government, and the CEC on a petition by Rakesh Kumar Singh. While declining immediate suspension, the court clarified that any decision found to be contrary to statutory requirements could be annulled later.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को काम करने से रोकने के लिए अंतरिम आदेश जारी करने से इनकार कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने एकतरफा निर्णय लेने के आरोपों को सत्यापित करने की आवश्यकता बताई है। भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश की अगुवाई वाली एक पीठ ने राकेश कुमार सिंह की याचिका पर चुनाव आयोग, केंद्र सरकार और सीईसी को नोटिस जारी किया है। तत्काल निलंबन से इनकार करते हुए, अदालत ने स्पष्ट किया कि यदि कोई निर्णय वैधानिक आवश्यकताओं के विपरीत पाया जाता है, तो उसे बाद में रद्द किया जा सकता है।
