Heart Patients Should Take Precautions During Winter Morning Walks
HT - Lifestyle · lifestyle
Winter mornings pose risks for individuals with heart conditions due to cold temperatures and fog. Cold weather causes vasoconstriction, raising blood pressure and increasing the heart's workload. Cardiologist Dr. Ashok B. Malpani advises people with heart issues to avoid exercising in extreme cold and to check air quality. He recommends dressing in layers, warming up indoors, and gradually increasing walking pace. Warning signs like chest pressure or breathlessness should never be ignored, and immediate medical help should be sought.
