Karnataka Teachers Transform School Campus Into Green Asset With Plantation

Teachers at the Government High School in Kondlur, Karnataka, have transformed an eight-acre campus into a thriving green asset over the past 11 years. The plantation, featuring areca, cashew, coconut trees, and fruit plants, generates significant annual income for the school, ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh in the last three years. Acting headmaster Sampath H.V. has personally invested considerable time and resources, often from his own pocket, to maintain the plantation.

कर्नाटक के कोंडलूर स्थित सरकारी हाई स्कूल के शिक्षकों ने पिछले 11 सालों में आठ एकड़ के परिसर को एक हरे-भरे और फलते-फूलते संपत्ति में बदल दिया है। सुपारी, काजू, नारियल के पेड़ और फलों के पौधों वाले इस वृक्षारोपण से स्कूल को पिछले तीन सालों में ₹50,000 से ₹2 लाख तक की अच्छी खासी सालाना आमदनी हो रही है। कार्यवाहक प्रधानाध्यापक संपत एच.वी. ने खुद काफी समय और पैसा, अक्सर अपनी जेब से खर्च करके, इस वृक्षारोपण को बनाए रखा है।
