CJP Leaders Sentenced to 5 Days Judicial Custody in Jantar Mantar Protest Case

Two leaders of the CJP, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, have been sent to five days of judicial custody. The action followed their entry into the heavily barricaded Jantar Mantar area in Delhi, where they allegedly raised slogans demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police had previously registered an FIR against Das, Ranka, and other CJP members for allegedly entering the restricted zone without permission. Ajinkya Shinde was also arrested and presented in court along with the two leaders.

CJP के दो नेता, सौरव दास और आशुतोष रंका, को पांच दिन की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। यह कार्रवाई दिल्ली के भारी सुरक्षा वाले जंतर मंतर इलाके में उनके प्रवेश के बाद हुई, जहाँ उन्होंने कथित तौर पर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञान प्रकाश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग वाले नारे लगाए। पुलिस ने पहले दास, रंका और CJP के अन्य सदस्यों के खिलाफ बिना अनुमति प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्र में कथित तौर पर प्रवेश करने के लिए FIR दर्ज की थी। अजिंक्य शिंदे को भी गिरफ्तार कर दोनों नेताओं के साथ अदालत में पेश किया गया था।
