Hindustan Times · india

A property dealer in Ludhiana was attacked by armed men and his car was fired upon while his mother and three-year-old son were inside. The assailants fired five to six rounds and assaulted the victim with sharp weapons, causing injuries to his head, leg, and near his eye. Police investigations suggest the attack stemmed from a political rivalry between the victim and the accused, who had clashed previously.
