Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote has launched Africa's largest ever share sale, offering a stake in his oil refinery to the public. The initial public offering aims to raise up to $2.1 billion by selling approximately 3% of the Dangote refinery. Dangote stated his intention to allow ordinary Nigerians to participate in the plant's success. The refinery, one of the world's largest, began production in 2024 and now supplies over 70% of Nigeria's energy needs.

नाइजीरिया के अरबपति अलीको डंगोटे ने अफ्रीका का सबसे बड़ा शेयर बिक्री लॉन्च किया है। वे अपनी तेल रिफाइनरी में हिस्सेदारी आम जनता को बेच रहे हैं। इस IPO से करीब 2.1 अरब डॉलर जुटाने का लक्ष्य है, जिसमें डंगोटे रिफाइनरी का लगभग 3% हिस्सा बेचा जाएगा। डंगोटे चाहते हैं कि आम नाइजीरियाई भी इस प्लांट की सफलता में भागीदार बनें। यह रिफाइनरी 2024 में शुरू हुई थी और अब नाइजीरिया की 70% से ज़्यादा ऊर्जा ज़रूरतों को पूरा कर रही है।
