The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) is calling on citizens to become 'Save Water Volunteers' and report instances of drinking water wastage. Through the PAANI mobile app and a dedicated website, individuals can anonymously report issues like using potable water for washing vehicles or overflowing tanks. The board will conduct inspections based on these reports and take action against violations. Currently, 437 people have registered, and the initiative aims to encourage wider participation across all residential areas to conserve precious water resources.
