Kerala Assembly Approves Hike In Pension And Benefits For Ex-MLAs

The Kerala Assembly has passed a bill to significantly increase the monthly pension and additional benefits for former MLAs. The maximum pension will rise from Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000, with revised rates for varying service periods. Pensions for those with less than two years of service will increase from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000. Age-related benefits have also been enhanced, with additional monthly pensions increasing for those reaching 70 and 80 years old.

केरल विधानसभा ने पूर्व विधायकों के मासिक पेंशन और अतिरिक्त भत्तों में काफी वृद्धि के लिए एक विधेयक पारित किया है। अधिकतम पेंशन 50,000 रुपये से बढ़कर 60,000 रुपये हो जाएगी, जिसमें विभिन्न सेवा अवधियों के लिए संशोधित दरें होंगी। दो साल से कम सेवा वाले लोगों की पेंशन 8,000 रुपये से बढ़कर 10,000 रुपये हो जाएगी। आयु-संबंधी लाभों को भी बढ़ाया गया है, जिसमें 70 और 80 वर्ष की आयु तक पहुंचने वालों के लिए अतिरिक्त मासिक पेंशन में वृद्धि की गई है।
